Editorial Makeup Artist Gold Coast and Brisbane

Editorial Make Up

Editorial makeup is about more than flawless application. It is about telling the story the shoot is built around. I work with photographers, fashion brands, magazines, designers and creative agencies across the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Byron Bay and the surrounding areas, tailoring every look to the creative vision using colour theory, lighting awareness and precision technique.

Fashion campaigns, beauty editorials, magazine features and creative productions. My work has been published in Malvie Magazine, Fashion Weekly and InStyle, and I spent 2007 and 2008 working out of Pineapple Studios in Covent Garden, London.

Where I travel to

I am based at Jacobs Well, which sits between the Gold Coast and Brisbane and puts most of South East Queensland comfortably within reach.

I regularly work across the Gold Coast, from Coomera and Hope Island through Southport, Main Beach, Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach, and north through Brisbane, Redland Bay and Cleveland. I also travel to Mount Tamborine, the Scenic Rim and into Northern New South Wales.

Travel starts at $10 for bookings under 15km and is charged by distance from there. If you are further afield, ask me and I will let you know.

FAQs

Questions most clients ask me

  • Do you work with a team on bigger shoots?

Yes. For larger call sheets I bring an assistant or a second artist, quoted as part of the project.

  • Do you travel for shoots?

Yes. I am based at Jacobs Well and work across the Gold Coast, Brisbane and northern New South Wales,  and I have worked interstate and overseas. Travel is charged by distance, and anything further is quoted.

  • Can you do hair as well as makeup?

Yes. I am a qualified hairdresser of more than 30 years, so hair and makeup can both sit with me rather than two separate bookings.

  • What do you need from me before the shoot?

The concept or mood board, the call time and location, how many people need makeup, and the shot list if  you have one.
